Equal time

About 400 people showed up for the "massive pro-war protest" versus the 10-15,000 who appeared for the anti-war rally. Even so, every radio and TV station I turned on felt obliged to give the miniscule pro-war faction equal time (or more). Virtually every other story droned on and on about how the protesters were all just old hippies. (If so, these hippies aged damn well. About half of them look like they were in their twenties.) If only these media stations were so equitable when it came to providing time for the speeches and talks throughout the country by figures such as Ray McGovern, Howard Zinn, or members of the Green Party. I guess some minority voices are more equal than others. (Thanks to Diana at DFC for the links.)
