Awesome video!

I'm a believer.

Every purchase I have made always seems to come down to one thought process.

How many hours would I need to work to pay for that? Is it really worth it?

My house was built about 25 years ago. It still has original carpeting. I could pay someone to replace it but it would not add to my happiness. My pets certainly don't care, so why should I?

There are people all over this world who are perfectly content with dirt floors. I want what they have: contentment. It is easy.

One person's dandelions are just another person's pretty flowers. I mow my lawn to keep the neighbors happy. I certainly wouldn't spend time mowing if I was the last person on earth.

One of my favorite places to be is a hiking trail. I've never once thought, "Ugly! Needs to be mowed and fertilized!"

How did we get to this point?

Much of what money's spent on strikes me as a waste and a burden on the environment. And I feel the same about my time in the wilderness. We should do a hike some summer when I'm in the states.

If you are ever in the Seattle area in the summer...

We've Hit Poo Poo Point Again

It was an absolutely beautiful day for a FREE* deflationary hike in the Pacific Northwest.

I've had horrible luck in 2013 and 2014 though.

In 2013, I sprained my ankle really bad at a rest stop on the 4th of July holiday weekend. I then had to drive on it for several hundred miles. Hiking season ended for me.

This past spring, Shingles took me out (reactivated chicken pox). The hiking season was over before it even began.

Looking forward to 2015 though. Perhaps I should pray to Jibbers Crabst just to be safe. If nothing bad happens next year, then I will have "proof" that divine crustacean intervention protected me. ;)

Jibbers is so compassionate he even helps those of us who forget to burn sacrifices to him.
