I saw this! I know a guy who has ALS and has been trapped in his body for 11 years, the last 4 without being able to speak. I was hoping his family saw this and possibly they could get in on the technology.
It was an uplifting story. I especially liked the idea of using electrodes directly planted in the brain. It seems like it'll offer some exciting possibilities once they perfect the technology.
