Marla Ruzicka
Rights activist and aid worker Marla Ruzicka, 28, was killed in a car bomb explosion in Baghdad on 17 April. She was travelling on the road to Baghdad airport when a private security convoy ahead of them was targeted by a suicide bomber. Marla founded the Washington-based Campaign for Innocent Victims in Conflict (CIVIC), which worked to obtain financial compensation for the innocent victims of war. We will remember her as someone who sacrificed her life for others and championed the cause of the weak and oppressed.

Just remember WHO killed her. Don't see any irony that the very people that she was, in effect, supporting, did the deed?
Or was it just another VRWC conspiracy to silence opposition?
Sometimes your statements strike me as coming out of an almost tribal mentality (e.g., support for Iraqis = support for terrorists). Why in the world would any think that she was "supporting" terrorists and murderers? She was supporting victims of war. The child on her lap in the picture was someone whose parents were both victims of war. Do you know of any statement she ever made in support of people blowing up cars? Of course, we can always adopt Bush's simplistic stance and simply say that everyone who opposes Bush's policy is a Islamo-terrorist-Commy-baby-killer.
I think all sides should keep the politics out of this and simply mourn the fact that we just lost an incredible person.
